There’s a world of difference in Tenerife.With its many different climate zones, Tenerife is like a mini continent. Drive up towards Mount Teide and in just a few miles you will pass through several climate zones on your way to the 12,194ft summit of the highest mountain in Spain.

The peak of Teide, now a dormant volcano, is surrounded by the wild and rugged landscape of the Las Cañadas volcanic crater, some 30 miles in circumference. From November to April, Teide is frequently  capped by snow so anyone planning a trip there during these winter months should make sure they wear suitable clothing.

  Subir al Teide y en pocos kilómetros se pasa por zonas climáticas diferentes en su camino a la cumbre de las 12.194 pies más alto de España. El pico del Teide, un volcán inactivo ahora, está rodeado por el paisaje salvaje y agreste de Las Cañadas del cráter de un volcán, a unos 30 kilómetros de circunferencia.  

De noviembre a abril, el Teide algunas veces es cubierto por la nieve, de enero a fenrero es más frecuente, así que para cualquiera que esté planeando un viaje allí durante estos meses de invierno deben asegurarse de usar ropa adecuada, pero en la costa sobre todo en la sur, sur-este, siempre puedes contar con el sol y la playa.
